Painful Positive: Nothing Negative: This was an incredibly inconvenient booking. First, I booked the reservation on behalf of a colleague. I provided the colleague's information as the guest as part of the booking, but all future communication from the hotel came to me, and they refused to interact with the guest directly. Prior to check in, the hotel sent me a message with rules and instructions to pay a $200 deposit, which I forwarded to the guest. The guest paid the deposit by transferring a payment (not a credit card). While the hotel accepted this form of payment, the payment then said it would take several days to go through, and the site would then not provide the access information for the building because the charge was pending. Being stuck as the middle-man, I had to go back and forth between them and the guest to try to get him access to the building. Why the hotel would accept a payment that took days to process is unclear. They refused to take a credit card over the phone to settle the situation in order to grant my colleague access to the booking. Eventually they provided access to the building, but requested $200 cash between the hours of 11am - 7pm as a deposit even though (i) the colleague could no longer get back the $200 he had transferred and (ii) as we were there for a conference, my colleague was not available between 11am - 7pm. Further, my colleague reported the bed was so uncomfortable he slept on the couch.

Positive: Property manager made an exception for late arrival Negative: communicaion problem between host and booking platform. wrong host phone number. no info about host identify and that host would be wanting an online payment of damage deposit so I thought the email request was a scam.
